Why Racism Isn’t Real
Hey everybody, it’s Mic Leo. I want to talk to you today about Racism. To me, racism is disgusting.
And one of the biggest problems about racism is the hyphens – this American, that American. We are all Americans. Let’s get this straight. We’re all Americans. Another thing – we’re all humans.
There’s only one race – the human race.
People want to divide you into your sets, to divide and control. We are equal in this country 100%. The color of your skin has nothing to do with who you are. Never has and never will be.
You shouldn’t be proud of the color of your skin. You should be proud of your character, the things you’ve accomplished in this life; not where you were born, not what your ancestors were born. That has nothing to do with who you are.
And if you think somebody is inferior to you because of their race or you think you’re better, that you’re somehow above them because of your race, that makes you a racist. Okay, don’t be proud of your race. Be proud of who you are, Be proud of your accomplishments, Be proud of your character.
What kind of honor do you have? Those are the things you are proud of. When you’re proud of being an American, it has nothing to do with your race. It has to do with you’re proud with what America stands for.
Do you know what America stands for? Life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness for all. No matter what your race is, no matter what your religion is. That’s what America stands for.
And we don’t stop putting hyphens and calling everybody African American, Mexican American, Italian American, Irish American, this American, that American, we would never end racism.
We are all one people American, one race – Human.
